With some of Europe’s best surf on its doorstep, Lagos naturally has a chilled out surf vibe that attracts travellers, holiday makers and surfers alike.
You can spend your days exploring the awesome beaches and dramatic cliff faces that surround the city and your nights in the quaint old town where bars spill out on to the cobbled streets. With great food to suit every budget and super cheap happy hours (€1.80 a pint!), it’s the perfect place to spend a few days… or weeks… or months!
Something not to miss are the amazing grottos of the Ponta da Piedade area of Lagos where you can explore the incredible rock formations, caves and secluded beaches easily reached by fishing boat, kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Don’t forget to take a load of sun cream and your camera!
For a local experience you can hit the markets on a Saturday morning; you’ll find amazingly fresh fish and produce for equally amazing prices.
Lagos is all about the great outdoors, so whether you are coming from home and work or if you have been travelling for a while in big cities this is your chance to get outside and enjoy the wide open spaces and beautiful landscape.
"I spent two weeks at Bura! I definitely loved Lagos, but staying at Bura was one of the best decisions! They helped us with everything we needed, making our holidays...Did I mention the awesome staff?? Love them all."
"Bura is the best place I have ever stayed! In over 30 countries I have never felt so at home. Family is an understatement... I felt closer to the Bura family than I do my own... Do yourself a favor and stay here, even if its just for the people! I love it and will, for sure be back!"
